FARMING

We strive to take advantage of everything that nature gives us. 80% of the foodstuff we offer to our guests is organically produced.

Our farm covers app. 74 acres of land on which we grow vegetables, cereal, fruit and herbs, and our meadows are the source of quality hay.

Half of the farm is in the Seasonal Lakes of Pivka Regional Park and is a part of the Natura 2000, which is also an area where our cattle and horses graze.

Apart from the cattle and horse raising, we keep pigs and bees as well. Protecting species diversity and their habitats is important for us, as well as for the generations to come.

Philosophy

AND MISSION

Our philosophy is conjuring up the country life and zero kilometer cuisine to the guests. The latter is a farm-to-table concept, since all ingredients are organically produced.

We like to show the guests our rich cultural heritage; moreover, they can also help us around the farm and see the animals (cattle, horses, pigs, poultry, cats and dogs…)

Meet

Mojca, Jože, Andreja and Jani. We are the Andrejs. We are organic farmers, culinary enthusiasts, animal lovers, beekeepers, musicians and alcohol connoisseurs. We offer a culinary adventure and a pleasant village residence, away from the hustle and bustle of the city, surrounded only by the song of birds and beautiful nature.

How to

COME TO US

FROM POSTOJNA

Take the exit for Postojna and head towards Pivka. Drive past the turn for Knežak and drive 6 km towards Ilirska Bistrica and Rijeka (CRO). Turn left at the bus stop at the sign for the villages Šmihel and Narin. Drive through the village of Šmihel. After you have reached Narin drive to the center of the village and look for the guiding tables reading “Turistična kmetija”.

FROM ILIRSKA BISTRICA

Drive through the village of Topolc in the direction of Divača. Turn right in Ribnica for Pivka and drive for 4 km. Turn right at the bus stop at the sign for the villages Šmihel and Narin. Drive through the village of Šmihel. After you have reached Narin drive to the center of the village and look for the guiding tables reading “Turistična kmetija”.
